Movie Review: The BFG
Monday nights in our house are family nights - a night we reserve for movie viewing, game playing or just hanging out and spending time together. I love Monday nights because usually it's the only time we get together.
In 3rd grade Alexa's teacher read the book The BGF to the class as well as took them on a field trip to the Grand Theater for the play. She literately talked about this ALL YEAR. She was so excited to see it in when the movie came out this year but we weren't able to make it while it was at the movie theater. It finally came out on video and we got to watch it! I FINALLY get to know what she's been talking about for a year!
If you've never heard of The BGF before he's a quick synopsis: "Ten-year-old Sophie is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Big Friendly Giant. She's scared at first, the young girl soon realizes that the 24-foot behemoth is actually quite gentle and charming. As their friendship grows, Sophie's presence attracts the unwanted attention of Bloodbottler, Fleshlumpeater and other giants. After traveling to London, Sophie and the BFG must convince Queen Victoria to help them get rid of all the bad giants once and for all.

You guys, This movie is soooooo cute! I honestly wouldn't mind watching it some more! It's always a struggle to find a movie that all three of us can enjoy.(Although, I have to admit that I have a guilty pleasure of watching children's movies...I love some Disney!) This movie had Luke laughing quite a bit which is kind of hard to do with kids movies! If you've seen it you wouldn't be surprised that the Wizzpops made him laugh the most. If you haven't seen the movie - go rent it! Your whole family will enjoy it!
The graphics are wonderful you can see that in this screen capture of the BFG and Sophie!
The story line is beyond adorable and it's such a heart warming tale that it's hard not to love.
I give this movie a 9 out of 10.
