Third Week of January
Hello and Happy 3rd Week of January! {ALREADY?!}
Can you believe the first month of the year is almost over?! I swear, as I get older time seems to fly by faster and faster each day/month/year! Sometimes, it's totally cool {Like, long days at work that just don't seem to be on your side} but over all I think I would slow time down because before I know it - Alexa will be graduating high school and I'll be a big blubbering mess crying and trying to follow her around college campus. I once heard this quote and it couldn't be more true especially now as a parent.

Seriously - Parents, have you heard anything more true?!
Anyway, I digress. I wanted to take the opportunity I have for today to tell you about the book I mentioned in my last entry.
"You Are A Badass" By Jen Sincero can be found on Amazon - if you want to get it follow the link! This book has been speaking to my soul for the last two weeks. I haven't been binge reading, I've been slowly reading and absorbing and taking note. {and actually - I will be rereading or at the very least going through all my dog ears over and over}. If you need a swift kick in the ass to remind you that you are capable of whatever you dream of doing - then you need to read this book.
Even if you aren't an entrepreneur {And ESPECIALLY if you are} I think that this book will help inspire you to reach any goal you may have. There is nothing regretted by reading some personal development and investing in yourself. This is one of my favorite things to do!
I'm tossing around the idea of hosting a monthly book club. As I mentioned before, one of my goals of 2016 was to read one inspiring/personal development book a month. I would like to help my friends, or friends of friends or complete strangers do the same! If a book club/monthly inspiration group is something you'd be interested in let me know! As a woman, I would love to see us all succeed. Enough with this tearing each other down and hoping the next one fails, let's build each other up and help each other. Let's build a community of amazing women who are kicking ass an taking names in life. Empowerment and success and we accept nothing less. :-)
I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday! I will be posting a new recipe this weekend so stay on the look out - could be featured on SkinnyMom!
xoxo
